Sgt. Jeff Jones

Over the past 20+ years of Sgt. Jeff Jones' law enforcement career, he has been called upon to investigate very tragic collisions. It is an awesome responsibility knowing that there are people wanting answers to why their loved ones were killed or seriously injured in traffic crashes. Since Jeff's first day as a police officer he has taken his duties seriously. This included his ability to fact find in a traffic crash. Traffic collisions are commonly referred to as "accidents". This creates a misconception that the collision was unavoidable. Most times this is not the case. Usually a cause can always be pinpointed. These causes can range from human error, misjudgment and negligence to environmental factors, roadway factors and design, mechanical issues and on. Jeff's job is to pick apart the evidence and complete an accurate picture of what occurred. 

Since 1991 when Sgt. Jones received his first advanced training, he has been excited about this type of forensic science. Sgt. Jones enthusiasm lead to more training and advancement in this field. The jurisdiction he covers by police service has a wide array of traffic collision types because of the high density highways and traffic ways contained in the community. Sgt. Jones has investigated every type of crash possible. Cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles, pedestrians, mopeds, commercial motor vehicles, school buses, tour buses, snow mobiles, atv's, bicycles and train collisions are included in his experience.  

As Sgt. Jones training and experience grew he decided he wanted to branch out into the civil personal injury law end of accident reconstruction. To date many civil clients have called on Sgt. Jones for his expertise and thorough investigation skills.  

In April of 2007 Jeff began the business after a new Chief of Police approved the venture. The Chief granted the request to begin business in collision reconstruction with one limitation, NO CRIMINAL DEFENSE CASES.  In other words, since Jeff is a police officer it would be ethically wrong to go against another police officer in a prosecution. Since Jeff is a current police officer he agrees with that one stipulation and he opens his practice to all cases of CIVIL LAW and supports and consults for all cases involving CRIMINAL PROSECUTION. 

Sgt. Jones years of experience and dedication to fact finding are now being translated into your cases. If your case is accepted JFCI will dedicate all resources to professional investigative services to provide information in a factual and clear report. While Sgt. Jones does not discriminate on accepting any client, he does make it clear to all clients that he is not a "hired gun" but rather a fact finder. Sgt. Jones will not jeapardize a respected career as a professional investigator just to give a client what they want to hear. Investigations are thorough and professional and clients will get a factual expert opinion based on evidence and evaluation of all investigation documents and other sources of information.
