Investigation Experience
As a police officer and police sergeant, Jeff has investigated over an estimated 2000 collisions involving all types of land based vehicles.
Within those 2000 collisions are over 60 fatal collision reconstructions.
Over 100 Reconstructions have been done on serious injury collisions.
Sgt. Jones has been called upon by other law enforcement agencies in Lancaster County to assist in their serious and fatal investigations. This lead the Lancaster County District Attorney to select Sgt. Jones as the first leader of a new County Team formed in 2010. The Lancaster County Major Crash Investigation Team serves police agencies all over Lancaster County in the assistance of fatal traffic collision investigations. Sgt. Jones leads over 70 specialized investigators.
Sgt. Jones has worked many civil cases nationwide with an expert in Biomechanics and Kinematics as well as his own independant civil investigations. Sgt. Jones has also worked many Commercial vehicle cases in the Philadelphia Pennsylvania area with a CMV expert.
Sgt. Jones was recruited in 2007 by Penn State University to teach the PA. Deputy Sheriff's Training Academy cadets in accident investigation and reporting. Sgt. Jones instructs cadets in basic accident investigation techniques, evidence collection, scene mapping, scene photography, witness interviewing, evidence interpretation and Haz Mat.
Since 2007 Sgt Jones has been operating Jones Forensic Collision Investigations. Clients include attorneys, insurance comapnies and private citizens.
Court Experience
Over the course of Sgt. Jones' police career he has testified in hundreds if not thousands of criminal and traffic cases.
Ruled an Expert in Accident Reconstruction in Lancaster Court of Common Pleas.
Ruled an Expert in Accident Reconstruction by the Pennsylvania Superior.
Ruled an Expert in Accident Reconstruction by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
